- July 2012 - Write or rewrite! Start something new, or dust off an old script, and get cracking!

- Entry Fees are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for any reason.
PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Participants must be 18 or over

FORMAT:
- Accepted formats are PDFs, Microsoft Word Documents and Final Draft Documents.
WRITING PARTNERS:
- You may work with a writing partner or partners. Prizes will be divided equally amongst partners.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Email script to scriptathonscripts@gmail.com by 11:59 PM, July 31, 2012
- All submitted material must be the original work of the author(s).
- All submitted material must be in English.
- Pages must be numbered.
- Any submitted scripts must be in industry standard format.
- No substitutions or edited pages/versions of the project will be accepted after initial submission.
- Submissions must be between 80-130 pages long
- If screenplay is based on true story writer must secure necessary rights.
- We strongly recommend that you register your screenplay with the Writers Guild or Copyright it (or both.)
GENERAL:
- Contest applicants must accept all decisions made by The Script-a-thon team. Decisions are final, and will not be changed for any reason.
- Employees or agents of The Script-a-thon and the members of their immediate families or those persons living in the same household of such individuals are ineligible to enter.
- All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Entry void where prohibited by law.
- By participating in the Script-a-thon, each participant agrees to release and hold the Script-a-thon and the employees, directors and representatives of the Script-a-thon, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the event or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize. Prizes are subject to change at any time.
- By signing up with the Script-a-thon, each writer promises that they have dedicated the allotted 30 day period to writing or revising the script they choose to submit.
- If Overall Favorite winner cannot travel to Los Angeles Fall 2012, the Script-a-thon is not responsible for remuneration of lost prizes.
- By entering, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Script-a-thon, which shall be final.
