Her first feature film, Red is the Color of, which she wrote, directed and produced, won “Best Feature Film” in a couple festivals and is available on Netflix.  She studied photography and filmmaking at the Parsons School of Design in Paris and New York and was a Fulbright scholar.  Anne is preparing to direct her second feature film, STOP, I'M NOT DEAD YET!, a comedy horror, and is collaborating on a musical theater piece.  She is a freelance writer for MovieMaker Magazine, has a blog on their online edition and teaches an ongoing writing workshop.

Chelsea Mize: Co-Director
ScriptathonChelsea@Gmail.com

Picture
Chelsea Mize is a reader, writer, and procrastinator. She graduated from Duke University with a degree in English, Theatre Studies, and Film and is now pursuing her so-called scriptwriting career in Los Angeles. Her full-length play, I Loved You First, won the Dasha Epstein Award in Playwriting and the Reynolds Price Award in Scriptwriting. Now, she’s thrilled to be a part of the Script-a-thon and looks forward to all the challenges that lie ahead.  And it’s true what they say. She does have a penchant for fried foods and giggling.

Matt Giegerich: Co-Director
TheScriptathon@Gmail.com

Picture
Matt is a recent graduate from Duke University, where he received a BA in English with Honors.  He was the recipient of a Benenson Award in support of his screenwriting goals in LA.  As a new resident, he is quickly learning the ways of the Angelenos: hide from rain, allow an hour to get anywhere, and always stay for the credits.  He is a staff writer for Dig This Real Magazine (based in NYC) and an editor for Abroad Essay Inc. Matt is excited to be involved with the Script-a-thon and can't wait for July.

Monica Romero: Marketing Director
ScriptathonMon@gmail.com

Picture
A corporate marketer and brand strategist by day, Monica Romero moved to LA to come out of the closet as a fiction and screenplay writer. She attributes her love of theatre and movies such as Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope to all the grownup plays her mother took her to see when she was just a tween, back home in Honduras. Her most celebrated work to date is a short story about an adventurous mouse, which garnered unexpected critical acclaimfrom her 4th grade Spanish grammar teacher. She almost met her literary idol, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, face to face in Guadalajara, Mexico—but that’s a story for another day. As new marketing director for the Script-a-thon, Monica is thrilled about the chance to help emerging screenwriters get their creativity on the page and their careers off the ground.

Colleen Lyons: Assistant Marketing Director
ScriptathonColleen@gmail.com

Picture
Colleen is a graduate student at California State University Northridge, studying screenwriting. She is originally from Albuquerque, NM.  During her undergraduate studies at the University of New Mexico, while taking her first screenwriting class, she became addicted to the power of film. It's impossible for Colleen to watch a movie without looking for act breaks! Colleen is very grateful to be in California after serving 5 years as a paratrooper in the US Army.

Sharonda Harris: Marketing Intern
scriptathonsharonda@gmail.com

Picture
Born in Mobile, Alabama, Sharonda graduated with a BA from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts with a minor in Digital Media-Based Imaging from the USC Roski School of Fine Arts.  She works in many aspects of film production, including PAing and camera operations. She maintains a blog that focuses on indie film called “Pickups and Rewrites”.

Ethan Ripperger: Assistant Director
ScriptathonEthan@Gmail.com

Picture
Ethan is an eager and passionate person with a strong desire to make his mark in movies. He’s earned Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration (University of Mary Washington) and Biology (Roger Williams University) and is now looking to transfer his skills into writing and producing for the film industry.
